Walker, Patsy:

Wanda:  

-- A serving girl who works at a bar run by Ernie (II). (GR1 47).

Warriors of the Dead:  

-- Warriors who serve The Grateful Undead and the God of the Dead. They claim to have introduced the art of the ninja to the Orient. (GR/C 1).

Washington, Martha:  

-- One of the historical figures kept alive (but without a soul) by Centurious. They perish in a fire caused by Old Adam. (TOGRRA 4).

Watanabe, Brigitte Emmaline:  

-- The sister of Brass and the Daughter of Yugi Watanbe.

-- A lady who was kidnapped by Deathwatch's assassins. She was freed by Ghost Rider (II) and Wolverine. Later on, she is kidnapped again by Deathwatch's cronies, along with Jack D'Auria. Of course, she gets rescued. (MCP 64 - 71).

Watanabe, Sean:  

-- See Brass.

Watanabe, Yugi:  

-- Jack D'Auria's sensei. Father of Brass and Brigitte Watanbe.

--Attacked by cronies of Deathwatch, he joins forces with Wolverine and Ghost Rider (II). (MCP 64 - 71).

Water-Wizard, The:  

-- Super-villain with the power to control water.

-- His first major crime is knocking over "Los Angeles' largest brokerage house." He works with Mole, who is the "brains" of the outfit. The Enforcer then comes along and hires them to kill Ghost Rider (I). He fails, but he escapes. He is the first known villain to get a taste of Ghost Rider (I)'s soul searing Hellfire. (GR1 23).

-- He escapes to Chicago, where he runs into Ghost Rider (I) again. He tries to talk tough, but Ghost Rider (I) laughs, splashes water on him and rides away. Wallowing in self-pity, The Water-Wizard is contacted by Moondark the Magician. Moondark the Magician boosts the villain's powers, but Moondark the Magician foolishly reveals himself and gets damaged by Ghost Rider (I)'s Hellfire. This leaves The Water-Wizard defenseless, and he gets a full dose of Hellfire. (GR1 59).

-- Blaze then frees him in an attempt to help an Indiana town suffering from drought. After freeing up an underground source of water, The Water-Wizard escapes from Ghost Rider (I) with the help of Sheik Hurani. In Saudi Arabia, the sheik uses him to create monsters out of oil (insinuating he has control over all liquids, not just water). Ghost Rider (I) tracks him down and with the The Arabian Knight foil his plot. (GR1 61-62).

Watkins, Shirley:  

-- Harry Donovan's date to a Quentin Carnival show. She is impressed by Blaze's stunts and unimpressed by her date. After Harry heads off to the bar, she stays at the carnival with Burt. She gives Blaze her phone number, but he ignores her. She then focuses her attentions on Burt, who gladly reciprocates. The next night, after Harry attacks Blaze, they go after him to stop the fight, but Shirley Watkins forgets to wear her seat belt and is thrown from the car when it hits a bump. Whether she survives or not is never said. (TOGRRA 1).

Watson-Parker, Mary Jane:  

-- Current wife, separated, of Peter Parker. During the days of Ghost Rider (I), she was his on and off again girlfriend.

-- She is the one who convinced Peter Parker to see the Ghost Rider show with her at Madison Square Garden, thus instigating the first Spider-Man and Ghost Rider (I) team-up. (MT 254).

Webster:  

-- Biker who attacks Cynthia Randolph (actually Rzh'arr in her form) and is beaten up by Blaze. (GR1 64).

Wei, Linda:  

-- Newswoman with a fixation on Ghost Rider (II).

-- She first saw Ghost Rider (II) when he used her news van's roof as a landing point. She then spends her time giving inflammatory TV editorials about how awful Ghost Rider (II) is. (GR2 5).

Werewolf by Night:  

-- Real name: Jack Russell.

-- His family was cursed by his father's use of the Darkhold to carry on the legacy of being a werewolf. At full moons (and the night before and the night after), he is not in control of his wolf persona, but over time he has learned to change into and control the wolf part of him at other times besides the full moon (he is still out of control during the full moon, though). This control has waxed and waned at various times over the years, but recently seems to have become more permanent.

-- Joins The Legion of Monsters with Ghost Rider (I) and others. (MP 28).

-- His next encounter with Ghost Rider (I) occurs in Las Vegas when they both tangle with Tatterdemalion. In the midst of this battle he discovers he has lost his control of the wolf personality. (GR1 55).

-- At one point, Silver Dagger decided it was his duty to kill Jack Russell (guess he was tired of being beaten up by Doctor Strange and was looking for easier prey). He also runs into The Brain-Eaters and Layla, werewolves who revel in hedonistic lifestyles. Through all of this, Jack eventually becomes one with his werewolf personality. He also defeats Silver Dagger. (MCP 54 - 59).

Werewolf, The [FH]  

-- See Werewolf by Night.

Williamson, Ron:  

-- Chicago gangster who plans to blow up an L track in order to blackmail city hall. His plans are thwarted by Ghost Rider (I). (GR1 60).

Wind-Witch, The:  

-- Real name: Clothilde.

-- During the time of the Inquisition, she claims she was a good sorceress who was captured by a jealous governor and killed by impalement through the face with a spiked mask. With her dying breath, she sent her soul into a candle. The candle remained unused, until Madam Olga of the Quentin Carnival bought it at an antique shop. She lit it during a séance and it summoned The Wind-Witch from her slumber. After performing a few deeds for Madam Olga, she convinces her to perform a small ritual. After the ritual is performed, The Wind-Witch reveals she is actually an evil witch. Ghost Rider (I) attacks her, and then Madam Olga destroys the pentagram used in the ritual. This causes her to vanish, apparently destroyed. (GR1 66).

Wingfoot, Wyatt:  

-- Lives on the Konohoti Indian reservation. He's a friend and ally of the Fantastic Four.

Winslow, Charlie:  
-- Cousin of Roxanne Simpson, Son of Paul Winslow and Ida Winslow (lives in Holly), he doesn't believe the Sin-Eater has real powers, so he calls the preacher's bluff, only to come home a soulless (but sinless) shell. (TOGRRA 7).
Winslow, Ida:  

-- Roxanne Simpson's Aunt. Wife of Paul Winslow, Mother of Charlie Winslow. Lives in Holly. (TOGRRA 7).

Winslow, Paul:  

-- Roxanne Simpson's Uncle, husband of Ida Winslow, father of Charlie Winslow. Lives in Holly. (TOGRRA 7).

Witch-Woman:  

-- (See Linda Littletrees). A servant of Mephisto who is assigned to capture Blaze's soul. (TOGR 7).

Wolfe, Leena:  

-- A Private Investigator.

-- Hired by Allison Lamb to investigate Charles Blackwater, she inadvertantly becomes a target of The Master, who sends a demon to possess Morton Klasser. Morton Klasser attacks her, but Omen appears and destroys the demon possessing Morton. He then makes her promise to aid the cause of The Legion of Night at some point in the future. (MSU 9).

Wolff:  

-- Member of the Quentin Carnival.

-- Has been there since Johnny Blaze was a kid. Naomi Kale is afraid he will recognize her when she visits the Quentin Carnival. (GR2 minus 1).

Wolverine:  

-- Real Name: James Howlett. (Aliases: Patch, Logan, Weapon X)

-- Mutant character with a mysterious past, healing abilities, claws, super agility and much more. Member of the X-Men.

-- While visiting Madripoor, he was attacked by assassins working for Deathwatch, which causes him to visit New York and team up with Ghost Rider (II). There they meet Brass and tangle with The Triad Brothers, Langley and Deathwatch. (MCP 64).

-- His next encounter with Ghost Rider (II) occurs when they (with Spider-Man and The Hulk) form a temporary version of the Fantastic Four. (FF 348-349).

Wong:  

-- Doctor Strange's faithful manservant.

-- He is out shopping with Clea when she senses Doctor Strange is in trouble (he's being attacked by Ghost Rider (I)). (GR1 30).

Worthington, Warren III [FH]  

-- See Angel (I)

Wrecker, The:  

-- Member of the Wrecking Crew. A Blast from his crowbar that hit Ghost Rider (II) summoned Mephisto for reasons unexplained. (Thor 429-430).

Wrecking Crew:  

-- Thunderball, The Wrecker, Bulldozer, and Piledriver.

-- While trying to bust Bulldozer out of an armored police van, they run afoul of Ghost Rider (II). The Wrecker blasts ol' flame head with some mystical energy and this somehow summons Mephisto. Eventually they are defeated as Loki drains them all of their powers. (Thor 429-430).

Wright, Ariann:  

-- Daughter of Casper Wright. Little girl who recognizes Charles Blackwater because his "shadow" told her who he was. It also told her that he was going to die.

-- After he dies, a voice leads him to her place and she nurses him back to health. She tells him he's using someone else's (Omen's) shadow now. Then she joins The Legion of Night with Charles and several others. (LoN 1-2).

-- She helps save Leena Wolfe's life when she is warned by The Shadows that The Master has sent a demon to kill Leena . (MSU 9).

Wright, Casper:  

-- Father of Ariann Wright and owner of an occult bookstore.

-- He provides The Legion of Night with information and moral support. (LoN 1-2).

-- He is visited briefly by Leena Wolfe, which allows Ariann Wright to see the attack on her that is about to happen. (MSU 9).
